225/70 R16 Tyres

225/70 R16 tyres are installed in passenger cars and 4x4s. The size label of the 225/70 R16 tyre can be seen on the tyre's side where is clearly visible. The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre and it is provided in millimetres. The second number equals the percentage ratio between the 225/70 R16 tyre tyre's profile height and its tread width (in this case it is 70% out of 225 mm). The "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction. The third number provides the diameter of the wheel rim on which the 225/70 R16 tyre should be installed. The number is provided in inches.
