According to Nankang's mission statement, what is most important for the company is meeting customer expectations. The brand's motto is "honesty, pragmatism and innovation". During production, emphasis is placed on soundness and durability, while maintaining performance on the road.

Nankang is a Taiwanese company with over 50 years of experience, and learnt about tyre manufacturing from the best — the Japanese. The R&D department keeps up with the times and offers modern tyres at very attractive prices (the brand is considered to be in the economy market segment).

Many European drivers have already opted for the Nankang brand of tyres. This is a very good option for those who are looking for new tyres, but who do not want the purchase to break the household budget. Nankang offers products including tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, light delivery vans, motorcycles and aircraft.

Interesting facts:

Sonar tyres and Star Performer tyres are among the tyres offered by the Nankang brand.

Although 1959 is considered to be the date when the brand launched, the company's origins date back to 1940, when the first company was set up by the future founders of Nankang.

In addition to the civilian market, Nankang is also active on the military market — it manufactures tyres for military aircraft and combat vehicles.

Nankang tyres are produced at two factories: The first, which dates back to the company's inception, is located in Taiwan, while the second is located in mainland China, in Zhangjiagang.

In 1963, Nankang appeared on the Taiwan Stock Exchange; in 1974, it developed radial tyres for passenger cars, and ones for lorries and buses in 1980; in 1999, it started marketing low-profile Nankang tyres, high-performance tyres in 2001, tyres for SUVs in 2003 and 2008 saw the introduction of a fuel-economy model (Eco-1).

    Nankang Snow Viva 2

I am using Nankng Snow Viva 2 for second season. I have bought them for a very decent price and I was surprised how good winter tyres are they. I have used these rubbers in every single winter weather conditions – high or fresh snow, slush or rain. They have the best grip on the dry surface, the worst performance on the wet, but this is completely normal for each winter tyre (we all know that winter tyres doesn't like too much rain). On these tyres I have driven about 8 000 miles. I have used them in the mountains, on the roads, where trucks need were not able to drive and my Nankangs were able to deal with every single hill – up and down. I really recommend these tyres. I have just ordered More > the same model but for a different size – big difference in size actually. I am very curious if they will be as good as the previous one. Tyres have a little bit different tread pattern. All in all – we will see during this winter. Unfortunately if you are driving on the asphalt – the tread war is much quicker. I have also ordered summer Nankang tyres for the same car and I hope they will be better than Vredestain – after year and a half I have two bulges on the sidewall.

    Nankang AS 1

I have an AUDI A8 - up to now, I used Pirelli PZero tires - in my opinion one of the best tires on the market, but they wear out very quickly and are quite expensive but it is a behavior good tire. Nankang AS 1 until now, it behaves very well, they keep the soil very well (I have used on the corners in the mountains) and they are surprisingly quiet even compared to Pirelli tires. I have not checked in the corners so I do not know their limits of adhesion, the Pirelli penus report loss of adhesion with a screeching higher and higher. Here I do not know. Regarding the tire wear it is too early to write about it. Overall I am very happy and I'm planning to buy next time. The quality for More > the price is great. The price is very important to me but the silence in the car too! I'm happy and I recommend the Nankang tire As1 everyone!

    Nankang Snow Viva 2

I am using Nankang Snow Viva 2 for a half a year now. During the whole winter, spring and even now during the summer. I have driven o them about 5 000 miles and I am very fond of them. Before I had Michelins. After the change, the big difference is in noise level. Nankangs are very quiet. The trad pattern look very good. During the trip in the mountains there was no problem with driving up on the hills, starting or braking. I have the rule, that I do not change the tyres for the summer season and whole year round I am using winter tyres. I didn't notice a big tread ware. I am a calm driver. I will buy the same tyres to my other car. I fully recommend them to every day use. We will see ho More > they will deal in a next couple of years.

    Nankang NS 2

The tire very difficult to evaluate: - full dress dry - wet holding well, but only for the first 20-30tys, and later on average and gets prone to aquaplaning - as comfortable as a low profile - without problem - without knowing it, I was driving the screw in the tire until it is erased half and the air not decreased, but - teeth and wipes in the strangest way possible - the noise they generate is so great that the heavy truck is the Audi A8 can feel the vibration of the floor and the wheel - unbearable in the car that has double glazing !!! He immediately noted that teething is not the fault of the car - the tires forced me to visit several times in different workshops - I have the perfect More > geometry.
